Natural polymers, bio-based chemicals, biodegradable polymers and other environmentally friendly new materials have become the focus of the industry.  

As the only tropical province in China, Hainan province has abundant biomass resources and is also a region with good ecological protection.

The research team of Ningbo institute of materials technology and engineering, Chinese academy of sciences has been working in the field of bio-based materials for many years, and has successively achieved many important breakthroughs, such as the production demonstration of 10,000-ton 5-hmf and the development of polyester materials of furandiformic acid. Joint Sanya government held "China (Sanya) the first biomass catalytic refining and biodegradable packaging materials industry BBS", from starch and cellulose high value transformation, biological compound base platform ", "biodegradable polymeric materials" and "transformation and application of starch, cellulose" communicate and discusses three major issues. This BBS will adhere to the principle of "policy guidance, research and enterprise communication, investment follow-up, alliance promotion", and provide substantive solutions for Hainan province to "ban plastic", so as to build a new benchmark for high-tech enterprises in the biomass field in China.
